Mind you, "gilr bullying" seems to be getting more physical these days. Lats week alone I watched two incidents on the news where high school girls were beaten up by other high school girls. Only reason they got caught so easily is that in both instances the assaults were taped on vid-phones.

To the jocks, picking on the nerds was cool, but beating them up (excessively) wasn't. While the jocks did tease my friend, it wasn't them who physically bullied him. It was the more anti-social groups who I guess felt "better" about themselves by picking on someone lower on the social rung. Also a way to get money.
