Perform it once or twice right after you get home from class. The drive home will start pushing the kata out of your short-term memory. Doing this will bring it back to the short-term, which reinforces the memory. The brain is kind of like a search engine. The more "hits" a particular memory gets, the more likely it will end up as a long-term memory that is easily recalled.

Also, practice it in stages. Start with the first three or four moves. Once you have those, add another. Keep doing this until you've completed the kata. You'll find one move following another easily.

you could also write down the moves after you learn them so that later when you practice them you will have a little reminder.

if you are a visual person, it might be helpful to think of each move as a portion of a fight with an imaginary attacker.

keep in mind though, since you just started, you are learning so much that it is hard to remember anything, let alone a complex series of movements. don't be hard on your self or get discouraged.

the brain can remember anything if you can just make things relate to different things.

i find that when i remember things, like a big series or sequences of movements... one move relates to the next in my head, and through a series of relations i can remember whole sequences of various things. the same works for remembering songs, or lines from a movie, or etc. If you know what comes before and after certain things, ur brain will automatically relate the previous movement to the next if it's been repetitively smashed into ur head enough times
