danjutsu is new to the dojo
Default Hatsumi or Tanemura

For those of us who enjoy our ninjutsu training, what gives with the ongoing bitterness between these two accredited Grand Masters and their respective schools, Bujinken and genbukan.

At least there are a few of you who are informed. Tanemura, unlike Stephan Hayes was kicked out of the Bujinkan because he had shown continual behavior that was unacceptible to Senei. He is still a very skilled martial artist and could take anyone of us in a heart beat. He is Hatsumis cousin and it was at a funeral (who's is not important) that he acted in a final manner of unbecoming behavor and was asked never to return to training. In fact training in the Genbukan is the Japanese equivalent af spitting in Senei's face. Senei has told his shihan to find their own vehicle to spread the art. This is what Hayes has done. It is unforunate that some of his past students have surpassed him in rank, Jack Hoban 13th dan to be exact, he is still very much in the "Bujinkan" family. The Jinekan by Fumio Manaka another student of Senei's is another one that we have been asked not to train with. He had been scolded by Senei for not keeping up with the newer shihan coming out of the west. He would go years without training with Senei. He has since broken off and is doing his own thing, however he is still very knowlegable. His taijutsu is not the eqivalant of many of the other shihan, but his historical knowledge of the arts is very good. Please don't be put off by those who think the utterance of Hatsumi's name is some form of sacrilege. He is a very freinldy and approachable person from all I have been told.
