Default TAM QUI - ancient vietnamese martial art

Tam Qui Khi Kong Federation

The History of the beginning…
This method is rooted in great antiquity, in those times when human life cost nothing. There was no time for sorting out relationship or for competitions. In a combat the one who had survived continued living. In those ancient times Vietnam waged constant wars with China and within Vietnam there were never ending internecine strives. It was impossible to survive being alone. That is why people lived there making big families or clans, therefore withstood continual dangers. There were certain methods of physical and psychological trainings within every family. Such a training of fighters began from the very early age. By the age of twenty a man became a perfect fighter possessing the secret technique of the Martial Arts. Those warriors alone could withstand lots of enemies. Where was the secret? In what way such warriors were trained? Vietnamese culture during many long centuries was influenced by two great civilizations – Chinese and Indian. The appearance and spreading of Chan Buddhism (Thien), the embodiment of assimilation of these two cultures, served its crucial role in the developing of Vietnamese ancient spiritual culture. Got such valuable heritage from two ancient spiritual cultures ancestors of Vietnamese were able to absorb all the best of the spiritual, medicinal and battle systems and to transform these systems constructively taking into account the national peculiar qualities of their region. Absolutely new methods were occurred as a result, methods of the developing of every aspect in human nature, starting with physiology, mentality, energy finishing by spiritual essence of the human. Tam Qui Khi-Kong is one of such methods.
Unfortunately, the name of the founder of the school was lost, the only thing remained is a legend: “Long long time ago there was a village. People in the village constantly worked to feed themselves. In those times customs were wild, there were lots of bandits who outrageously did violence to peaceful villagers. So, once some bandits came to a village. The chieftain of the gang made the villagers give him the whole harvest and the cattle. Villagers tried to stand the bandits, but the forces were unequal. The only people who survived in the whole village were an old man and a boy. The old man called up the boy and told him: “Far away in the jungles a deserted temple is. Go there, people say, this is a miraculous place, you may find the answer of how we should live now”. The boy roamed in the jungles for long while looking for the temple, used roots for food, slept on trees not to be caught by wild animals. And one day he saw that deserted temple twined around with lianas. Absolute desolation was everywhere inside the temple, it seemed that nobody had appeared here for a long time. He had to clean everything out, to rake away garbage and dust until he saw beautiful images of Arhats, majestic statues of Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. He got carried away by the work so much that he lost count of time. Perhaps, he was dreaming but one day Arhats began to speak to him: “we know what’s happened with you. You have a kind heart, and we will help you. We’ll train you a wonderful technique of fight and teach you the method by which you will be able to touch your inner nature. This method is called Tam Qui (three jewels). Thanks to this method you’ll be able to defeat bandits and train people to protect themselves from enemies and evil spirits as well”. From that very moment every night the boy got the magical knowledge from Arhats and the whole following day carefully learnt everything by heart. After a few years he changed into a warrior with supernatural abilities. Then Arhats conveyed him the deepest essence of method: “there’s nothing much better to keep body and soul together for reaching longevity than discipline of the body. The secret of the curbing of the body is in the concentration of the energy inside Khi-hai, the place situated in the bottom of the stomach. When the vital energy condenses in this point, an elixir appears. This elixir makes the body appearance become solid and stronger and the spirit full and rich. If the spirit is full and rich the life will be long. It should be known that the elixir is placed nowhere but within your body. The most crucial thing is to make vital energy of the heart flow down into the lower part of the body in a way to fill the elixir in Khi-hai centre. Oh, Worthy Man, if you follow hard this teaching which we are giving you and never deviate from it, thus the teaching will let you keep the strength and health during all your life. And if you prove peculiar persistence you will be able to save and even increase your abilities that you have gained from us”. His strength was so great that only seeing him was enough and robbers always ran away. He lived a long life, only chosen ones he taught Tam Qui” That is the longstanding legend about the school.
The emblem of the school is a wheel with eight spokes that symbolizes eightfold path:
1. Correct understanding, views, estimation and opinions.
2. Correct aims, motives, plans, argumentation and decisions.
3. Correct using of speech.
4. Correct behavior, deeds and acts.
5. Correct attitude to the living; fulfillment of the well-defined role in life, which should be unselfish, sensitive and useful.
6. Correct efforts aimed at kind performances.
7. Correct intellectual activity: studying and teaching.
8. Correct contemplation following faithfully the fixation of the mind, the contemplation, which let intuition and insight become apparent.

In the middle of the wheel there is three unity symbolizing three treasures: Buddha, Dharma and Sangha. Such symbolism is typical in the whole Buddhism for every country and time. Besides, the image of this symbol can be met almost in every nation living on the Planet. Tam Qui method places high emphasis on a person invigoration as well as a battle aspect; this feature is typical for most of the Vietnamese systems. It is considered that first of all the perfect health is needed to become a magnificent warrior, and this idea is rather difficult to dispute. Strengthening of viscera, tendon-ligament apparatus and musculoskeletal system is of a great importance. The same significant importance has mental and ethical training of a student. Moral purity is the core of the successful development of a strong person.

TAM QUI - is an ancient Vietnamese teaching about living in harmony with environment.
Tam Qui (“Three Treasures”: Buddha, Dharma, Sangha) is about studying, preserving and passing from one to another all aspects of the school, detailed comprehension of a close combat technique and ability to control the body and spirit in any situation. During the education, special methods are used, as a result of which the practitioner gains strong health, longevity and a rejuvenation of the entire organism.
Besides a serious fighting aspect, the Tam Qui School contains an enormous layer of the knowledge, directed toward the health improvement of a man, toward the development of his inner world. One of the core tasks of the School – developing a harmonious person, revealing his internal potential.
Tam Qui School is absolutely unique, its techniques and the very approach to conducting the trainings are completely original and not similar to any other styles. Even in Vietnam, from the words of Master Ziyen (Thien Duyen’s teacher), our School was never widely known.
The Originator and Head of the School, Master Thien Duyen (Mikhnevitch I.O.) is a unique person: he is practicing Tam Qui for over 30 years, and has more than 10 years of educational activity; he is also practicing the zen-meditation for many years and carries out the sessions of acupuncture.
In his youth, after learning the basics of the Tam Qui martial art under the guidance of a Vietnamese Master Ziyen and having successfully undergone testing through the duels with the representatives of other schools, Master Thien Duyen left his home and lived in the forest for 3 years, all by himself, caring little about food, leaving behind all communication and jitteriness and fuss of the big city. He studied sutras and meditated, as a result of which has experienced several powerful satori. Subsequently, step by step Master Thien Duyen started educational activity and created the School of martial art in Moscow.
Tam Qui School is developing actively in Russia, but our goal is to spread the unique knowledge, accumulated by centuries, assembled and sharpened by Master Thien Duyen, throughout the world.

Master Thien Duyen – Biography

Master Thien Duyen. Born in 1965.
Oriental martial arts attracted him since childhood. There was something so appealing in the mysterious, closed Asia; something so enchanting for a child’s imagination in the flying warriors from the old engravings. He sought for materials himself, searched in the libraries, putting together bits and pieces found by accident, something he could only guess about. He recognized ancient pagodas, followed the movements of the frozen warriors.

“In one of my previous lives I was a Buddhist, as I am now,” – he will say later, - “and devoted all my life to practice…”

But this will only happen after 30 years. And back then, in the damp seventies, when the air was filled with victory marches in the name of bright Future and the identical cheerful people, who forgot their future and have no today, smiling from the posters, he always felt himself an outsider, living in his own world. Perhaps even this made him free from the insisting, persuasive reality.

So fair’s the sight of Noble Ones,
ever good their company,
by relating not to fools
ever happy one may be.
(Dhammapada)

Regime ideology was introducing prohibits, often close to absurdity, but at the same time, perhaps a bit earlier – closer to the “thaw”, on the wave of interest towards the East, academic books on eastern spirituality started to appear in the bookstores, but even those, written in complex scientific language, became a real revelation of a previously unknown spiritual world for many people. At the same time home-published translations of Suzuki, Buddhist sutras, biographies of great Masters appeared out of nowhere and were passed from hand to hand – people used to lend them for one night, during which they were copied by hand. There also appeared communities where people exchanged knowledge and practiced Zen.

Buddhism, generally wide-spread among the intelligence and the educated youth, have always had a shade of a forbidden fruit, despite the fact that, geographically, 1/3 of Russia is a Buddhist territory. The government was somewhat afraid of Buddhism, and thus, strengthened all kinds of oppressive actions, widely using tattlers and asylums. Practicing Buddhism was combined with a certain risk, in some cases – simply dangerous, especially when it comes to practicing the alien, unknown Zen, studied by no one and based on meditations.

Thien Duyen’s life changed when Tam Qui Master Zien arrived. A unique opportunity to study an ancient style under his guidance. Trainings, regular exams, tests – physical and moral – by this, not only the physical form was shaped, but also the inner world, the development of character. Master Zien was extremely demanding to the students, when they studied and mastered the basic technics. Correct execution of technique is the key to correct influence of the exercises on the man: “A man makes a Tao, Tao makes a man”, as Master Zien used to repeat. The Tao were to be exercised hundreds of times, and besides that, a very serious physical readiness was required – regular 10-kilometer runs, “iron palm” and “iron shirt” exercises, strengthening the body, and the hardest of them all – “acceleration up the mountain”, five-seven hundred meters, and then, right after – paired exercises in full strength. In Tam Qui all the paired exercises are conducted with bare hands with no armor. Only a very well-prepared person can withstand such a pressure, and pnly meditation can get you prepared for this. Soon, after a long practice, Thien Duyen experiences a strongest satori.

After receiving the Student’s Ninth degree in Tam Qui, the learning doesn’t come to end. Nine Master degrees follow. These do not require enormous physical efforts – at this stage, completely different qualities start to matter most, but about this we can only talk to the people who already have the Student’s Ninth.
The last thing Master Zien said before his departure was: “before you are 40, you must deeply understand Tam Qui, and only then you can transfer your knowledge to the people”.
It was just 1983… The official government, still Soviet, having spent years sending expeditions to Tibet, to India, in vain attempts to find something, solve the puzzle, has practically removed Buddhism from the heterodoxy list, and therefore turned more loyal towards Buddhism. Gorbachev’s intelligent reforming have drastically changed the situation – Russia opened itself for Buddhism, started to clumsily build relations with Dalai Lama. Buddhist centers, schools of martial arts and spiritual practices were being opened legally.

Thien Duyen continued his studies by himself, even in the army, and after demobilizing from his military service never stopped his trainings even for a day. The gained experience in the fight techniques, developed mastery, five-six hours daily, forgetting about tiredness.

He learned other styles, tried different systems and every time realized the advantages of Tam Qui. He let every movement, every Tao “pass through” himself, analyzed his own reaction – reaction of the body and mind, to anticipate the reaction of those, who will later come to him as to the Teacher.

Once, his body couldn’t stand against the stress – during one of the sparrings, Thien Duyen received a serious trauma of the spinal cord. The doctors estimated the worst. The practices had to be forgotten forever.

But it turned out the other way. Having realized that mastery is not only reflected in the forms of the martial art, and that the real power is inside the man and he’s the only one who can heal himself, Thien Duyen understood: the time for solitude has come. According to the Buddhist study, the nature of Buddha is in everyone, and by meditation and practice everyone can touch it.

During 3 years, having forgotten about communication and the big city nervousness, not caring about food and having left vanity behind, he lives in the forest, far from home, alone, all by himself. He studies the sutras, practices meditations, and as a result experiences several strongest satori.

Ever intent on concentration,
joyful in peace of letting go,
mindful, wise, the perfect Buddhas -
to even the gods they are dear.
(Dhammapada)

That was necessary for opening your inner strength or inner nature, to bring “emptiness” to the soul, to get rid of all goals and passions. The consequences of an injury have totally vanished. He returned, having left his old self, his old life in the woods; returned as another man.

There came a day when he understood that the time has come to pass his knowledge and art to the people.

But life has prepared a yet another trial, this time – a serious injury of an arm, then – surgery and a metallic finger, embodied in the hand for half a year. Ignoring the warnings of the doctors, Thien Duyen refuses to stop his trainings and participates in sparrings. It results in a pseudoarthrosis. This diagnosis means “you are doomed”. But special exercises based on Tam Qui technique help him to overcome this and recover.

And there was a day, when he saw, that in the garden near his house, the old dead twigs that he used as a prop when tying up the roses, have released green shoots and leaves…

Do not pursue the past.
Do not lose yourself in the future.
The past no longer is.
The future has not yet come.
Looking deeply at life as it is
in the very here and now,
the practitioner dwells
in stability and freedom.
(The Sutra on Knowing the Better Way to Live Alone)

So he understood the core of the Tam Qui.

First students appeared, and Thien Duyen made up his mind to create a School, but political changes in Belarus forced him to move to Moscow. It seemed that everything works just fine – in the big city there’s more freedom, more opportunities, but life prepares yet more hardships. He looks for adherents, but meets those who only have commercial interest about the School. He looks for friends and helpers, but has to face envy and misunderstanding.

One who foulness contemplates,
whose faculties are well-restrained,
in food does moderation know,
is full of faith, who's diligent:
that one no Mara overthrows,
as wind does not a rocky mount.
(Dhammapada)

“I have always realized that the School cannot be created by me alone,” – says Thien Duyen. – “Serious, true students are needed for this. Apart from physical readiness and unbreakable will, a deep understanding of a Buddhist doctrine is required. Schools like Tam Qui are created and exist for the people’s sake, for their health and development. Knowledge that lays inside the Tam Qui is enormous. If the life is spent on pleasures, it’s too short to achieve anything. If only commercial success is pursued, nothing will grow. That’s why so much depends on the students themselves, on the purity of their thoughts and intentions.”

In 2004, Thien Duyen meets Vladimir Kostomarov - the true adherent and student; together they create the Tam Qui federation. In the present time, the Tam Qui school is well known, not only in Moscow, but also in other Russian cities, and the followers are spread all around the world.

People, who attend the School, look for something meaningful to them. Some – for health, others – for strength… They come to “give it a try” and stay for long. Those come, who were enchanted by the mysterious forbidden Asia from the very childhood, whose imagination as a child was fascinated by the warriors on the old engravings… Those, who recognize something familiar in the flying Tao-s, shown by the Master – but to execute these Tao-s right, they will need years.

Thus, step by step, Master Thien Duyen heeds the precept of the Vietnamese Master Zien.

Tao

The Tao are special complexes of exercises, developing a harmony of motion in a man. By exercising Tao we lay the core of self-defense and achieve the ability to stay calm in any situation. The principle of studying Tam Qui through Tao is in the following: by exercising a Tao over and over again, thousands and thousands of times, the Tam Qui practitioner gets his body accustomed to the motions of a specific nature, moving those very motions to the level of the unconscious. Thus, being forced into a real combat situation, the body operates “on its own”, in a kind of autonomy, based on the reflexes, embedded into it by the repetitive Tao practices. The Tao also have a meditative effect.
Circular Tao
This Tao is different from other Tao, because it’s exercised in a cycle. Once started, this Tao cycle can last eternally long without a stop. This feature of the Tao has an extremely positive influence on a psychophysical state of the practitioner; it’s possible to set a certain rhythm and keep it under control for as long as needed. The Circular Tao symbolizes the eternal motion of the Universe. Our lack of self-development is the one and only obstacle on the way to a harmonic, tranquil and at the same time potent Tao motion. The exercise is based on a sequence of “openings” and “closing” with various different positions of the arms. Besides the healing effect, the Tao has a combat aspect too. The blows in the Tam Qui technique are not limited to the fist blows; all parts of the palm are used for striking. The movements are flexible, moving smoothly from one position to another. Through this, a great speed and strength of each movement is achieved. The body gradually becomes flexible and controllable; this allows landing mighty blows from a short distance.

Tao “Stone”
In the Tao “Stone” the palm becomes a fist. This is the most harsh and brutal technique. The blows are being landed with every part of the fist. This technique reminds of a stone with a rope attached. Knees and elbows are also used for striking in this Tao. Studying the techniques starts with this form.

Tao “Tiger”
The way of executing this Tao lays in its very name. The tiger is a powerful, gracious beast. The practitioner of this Tao must entirely identify him/herself as this beast. The tiger’s habits enlist a huge variety of grabs, slaps, strikes with both paw and head. The tiger can turn hidden and prepared, as a compressed spring, and then rush upon the enemy. To master this Tao, one must learn the tiger’s habits. In Tam Qui technique there are several “Tiger” Tao’s.

Tao “Ribbon”
By ribbon here we mean a light ribbon of silk. Tao “Ribbon” is an advanced level Tao, because it requires considerable concentration, accuracy and flexibility from a practitioner. This Tao has movements reminding bends of a ribbon fluttering downwind. When the entire body of a practitioner, including hands, legs and trunk merges together, passing streams of Khi through itself, the Tao “Ribbon” is considered mastered. Mastering the Tao “Ribbon” and learning its deep inner meaning is only possible under a master’s guidance.

“Shouting” Tao
“Shouting” Tao unlike circular Tao is done with certain displacements. The position of a palm is “tiger”. Characteristic feature of the Tao is that this Tao is done with the shout “Ha” and a typical stamping out of jumps. “Shouting” has a great meaning in Tam Qui. Doing Tao with the shout “Ha” we make Khi energy flow free and increasingly more. “Shouting” Tao develops power, speed and pressure. Besides, doing this Tao we master the proper technique.

Legends of Tam Qui

Hunger
Old Tam Qui master lived in one village. He was more than hundred years old, corporal forces have left him, but the spirit was still strong. Once robbers among night have rushed into village, have driven all inhabitants in one premise, and have indulged in robbery. Three days people lived without food. By the end of the third day the leader of robbers has told to people that will execute them next morning, but for now he has taken pity over all and before death allows them to eat at last. He has ordered to feed people with rotten fruit. Hungry people have rushed to eat food, only the old master has told that such meal is very unhealthy. At night gangsters have hastily left village — the governmental armies hunted for a long time for them and, at last, they managed to find their trace. By the morning, all peasants have released. Who ate all that night, suffered from intolerable belly-ache.

Secret of mastery
One young man searched for the teacher who would train him secrets of mastery. He have prompted that in jungle in straw hut the master lives alone:«Try to descend to it». The guy went there. Having found hut, the young man has seen the old man with very open smile. The guy has explained, what for he has come. The old man has answered that undertakes its training. In the early morning, the pupil has forcibly woke up the old man and has asked, when training will begin. The master long rose, washed, long smiling, looked at the sun, and then told, rise in position "bell" and stand, while the shade from this column will not reach the stone there, and has left. The pupil has followed to his advice. After a while, when the shade hasn't passed also half of way, the young pupil hasn't sustained and has gone to search for the old man. He wished to explain that wishes to study in secrets of fighting art, instead of this nonsense. Next morning the master smiled again to the sun and has told to carry out exercise in position "bell" again. All repeated every morning, the pupil has become angry and has told to the old man that he is the old blockhead and has left. The master came to wish good way to him, on his face has smile as usual. Some years has passed .One quiet evening the old master sat near the hut and peacefully drank tea. Suddenly he heard rustle in jungle an he saw run away matured pupil with haughty smile. «Look, old man, what I have learnt! » It began to show very much difficult technique, hands and feet flashed, through short time pupil has become covered by sweat. «Enough, enough» — the old man has clapped the hands, — «and now try to rush and win me». The guy furiously attacked the old man, but has been rejected by unknown force, he has tried with much fury, but the result was the same. He tried many times while forces haven't left it. The old man with the same quiet smile looked at the guy and drank tea.

Charms
One Tam Qui master didn't have pupils. All who came to him for training didn't maintain severe practice and under different pretext left the instructor. But once one young man appeared and has declared that will sustain any hard training and that the most important thing in life for him is to become the master of Tam Qui. He has brought gifts to the teacher and has started training. First three years have flown as one day, the pupil with improbable diligence concerned to trainings, remembered the most difficult exercises. Every day without knowing weariness, from morning till the night he was trained and except of trainings the young man worked in the house of master. And once the teacher has noticed that something has occurred to the pupil. Its force and eagerness was gone. Sometimes it was late for morning employment, sometimes looked as he got tired and broken. Many times the teacher asked question: «What with you», — but the pupil always answered: "Everything is all right". After a while the master has decided to track the guy. Under the screen of night he has gone after the pupil and has seen that pupil meets the young, very attractive woman of obviously free behavior. It was visible that the guy has got under her charms. After that there was saying: «If you wait the girl five minutes it is already very much time but if you are training Tam Qui fifty years - it is not so much time.

Expensive relic
Hard times have come to one village, rains have washed off all crops and moreover one strange illness carried away lives of peasants. People have grown weak and have lost courage. Elders of village have addressed to the Tam Qui master who lived in their village for help. They have asked him to make pilgrimage in one holy place and to bring any relic for their temple from there. Elders have been assured that exactly thus can be cajoled spirits and will improve a situation. The master has agreed. Early morning he has set out a way. The road was not close, it was necessary to spend the nights in the wood, to eat seldom. If there was a settlement, he was employed in workers and thus he earned something for living. And at last he has reached a proper place. At once has gone to a local temple, has made gifts to the Buddha and to Bodhisattvas, long said prayers and confessed. Leaving a temple, in the street he has seen the dealer. He has decided to ask him about a relic. The dealer has appeared the charlatan and has sold to him a pork tooth, having given out it for a tooth of the Buddha. The master without suspecting anything was very glad and at once has gone to a way back. That dealer owed to gangsters money and when they have come, he has told that the robber just took from him very expensive relic and has described in detail the master. Gangsters have gone behind master. Having heard footfall of horses, the master has felt wrong, hide a tooth in roots of a tree and prepared for defense. The master defended very long time but there were a lot of gangsters and they won the master. Several days they tried to found out, where is a relic but without having achieved any result they leaved master to die in woods. He was found casually by peasants who have saved his life. Hardly standing on his feet he has gone to his village. At last, he reached the village, absolutely having grown weak from difficult road, the master has gather together all inhabitants of village and all have gone to a temple led by elders. When they placed a tooth on an altar the light proceeded from it.

External furnish
One master conducted forty years a life of the vagrant eremite. His spirit was pure not connected what circumstances, he freely moved all over the world as a cloud in the sky. Except of Tam Qui his hobby was making simple pipes from a bamboo. In the course of time his skill grew in both arts. Growing old, he has understood that he should make something for people and has decided to lodge on suburb of a city and to open a little shop of pipes. Very soon rumor about the skilful master of pipes was carried all over districts. People paid the big money if master has made them a pipe better, than neighbor has. There was not release from buyers. In due course the master began to notice that those who pay the big money for a pipe have more interest in furnish of the instrument, than quality of a sound and then the master has made the following... He knew that very notable richest person with huge retinue should come for his pipe. The master has made for him a pipe very beautiful outwardly, but there were no apertures in it, and inside emptiness of a bamboo was filled with sand. The pipe was heavy, as a cudgel. And then at the appointed o'clock the rich man takes a pipe in his hands, he was surprised very much, why there are no apertures and why it is so heavy: «how to play such instrument»? Then the master took the pipe and suggested to battle the strongest soldier from retinue of the rich man. The soldier was with a sharp sword but, despite it, the master has won him very fast. Next day the little shop of pipes was empty, the clouds driven by a wind floated on the sky.

Force and insight
In one district the master lived. His dwelling was highly in mountains, in impassable jungle. The rumor about his force and insight rattled all around. He understood language of birds and animals, could forecast the weather and a state of affairs in kingdom. People from all over even the remote places went to him for advice and to receive healing. He could make of the diseased - healthy, from curve - direct, from the poor- rich. The master lived many years in jungle and never went down to people. Once the poor peasant with the sick child has come. The woman asked him to go down in village to help other inhabitants. She begged very much, and the master has decided to help her. In village he has seen terrible poverty and illnesses. The master has rushed to help peasants. After a while the situation began to change for the better. People have felt a self-trust and began to work. Illnesses have left, the laughter everywhere was heard, and the pleasure reigned. The master was going to leave, but people from other village have come. It has also helped them. In due course the master began to forget about the life in mountains. Beautiful women began to come to him. Rich people brought gifts to him. Everyone achieved friendship with him. Very soon the master has felt that all his force has left. People, continued to go more and more. But he could not help more to them; he could not help even to himself. At once he has secretly left village. Master very long time wandered around the world. Has tested poverty and a grief. And here once, when a force does not remain absolutely, the master has seen very familiar landscape. He has not believed his eyes. This kind opened to it every morning when he lived in the hut in jungle. Wandering, without knowing, he has come to that from what he begins.

Flying web
One master, long time practicing the Tam Qui and often thought about how to improve his techniques. And once, sitting at the house, he has noticed, how easy the web fly in air. It was hooked to a branch and, having played with it not for a long time, has departed further, then hooked to a hand of the master, master tried to catch it, but he could not. The web has broken from a hand and has departed further. He began to pursue it, trying to catch, but he couldn’t. And suddenly he understands!
«The web is so easy and unpredictable, it floats by air, merging with it, and I am too rough to compete to it. It is necessary to train until movements become such easy and made movements which will remind a flying web, » — the master has thought. So the techniques of a flying web — the highest step of Tam Qui was born.
