I'm really not a fighter but definitely a fan of martial arts. But I'm just wondering are there any other weapons? I've only seen wooden weapons in martial arts.

Weapons other than what? But anyway, here's a brief list:
Staves (everything from a 2' length of wood to a 6'+ length of wood... used in nearly every country at one point or another as a weapon) Swords (from the "tai chi" sword to the katana to the rapier... again used in nearly every country at some time) Knives (see note about wide use) Nunchaku (used in China and Japan, likely other Asian countries, as well) Three Section Staff Sickle (The Japanese kama is the most obvious example of this, but there are others) Nunti (Japanese fishing spear/gaff) Sai (modified head of Nunti, used as small hand weapon) Spear (varying lengths, just like the staff) Flexible weapons (weighted cords, chains, weapons with rings, spikes, or other nasty implements on the ends) Bows
